Do you capsule wardrobe?

I've spent most of my life recently watching videos on YouTube about capsule wardrobes. I love the concept.

However I love pattern and colour and most of the capsules seem to be based on neutrals and look really boring to me. Definitely not my style and I don't feel like myself if I'm wearing plain neutral colours (plus I have a fear of dropping things down any light beige/white type colours!). I'm more like patterns are my neutral and I might have the odd plain/neutral in there.

Curious to know if anyone has tried it, does it, or anything like that project 333 thing where you have 33 items in your wardrobe.

I've bought a lot of clothes recently because my wardrobe just needed updating and looking a bit smarter for work. I've tried to make sure every item goes with 2 other things (varying degrees of success....) I'd rather have less stuff and wear it more but I don't seem to be very good at it!

V interested to know how you plan your wardrobe, if you plan it at all, hopefully I'm not the only one who is basically a magpie and buys things that catch my eye....
