One Hundred Stars - do you hand wash these products or put on a delicates wash?

I have 2 kimono tops, I would probably have not washed them but they've been in a suitcase with other items that needed washing so now I want to wash them

But its hand wash only, which is a faff, Ive never done this properly and given they are nice things I dont want to ruin them, what do you use, how do you know the temperature of the water and would it be a big mistake to put them on a delicates cycle?

I have always hand washed my Hundred Stars dressing gown but DP put it through a 30 wash degree wash last week without thinking and it’s fine.

I have always used the delicate wash cycle on my machine and my dresses and kimonos have been fine. It could vary between washing machines though, is your delicate cycle very gentle?

I did mine in a normal wash in a mesh bag, it was fine.

I did a delicate wash and my kimono (worn maybe four times) came out with three large rips. Maybe the mesh bag is a good idea as @LoobyDoop2 suggests. I did order another one and hand washed it but noticed another rip in the sleeve some time later but can't think how it happened. The fabric is not great (think it is viscose) which is a shame. Love the designs but would not order from them again as I had only worn the second one three times. Wish they would do them in 100% silk or silk/wool mix but realise they would be more expensive!

Ok I think I might hand wash them, its not like they are 'dirty' as such.

What do you use as detergent? Or could I get away with a bit of hand wash, or even just hot water?
