Céline or Mulberry bag?

I would like to add a small-ish top handle bag to my collection. Preferably in black with gold hardware, and with an adjustable strap. I have narrowed my options down to two bags: the Céline Nino or the small Mulberry Bayswater. I can't decide which one to go for, I really love them both. I obviously like the price of the Mulberry bag more, but I already have the same style of bag in another colour so, in that sense, I'm very drawn to the Céline bag, which I don't own already. Help? Which one would you pick?

When would you be using the bag? To me the Celine is more evening or smarter daytime and the Mulberry is office wear. I have the Mulberry and used to use it for the office and I have used it once as a weekend bag in London.

I agree that the Celine is smarter and that it is lovely. Strathberry have nice bags and are more bearable cost wise.

I’d go for Celine, it’s much more on trend at the moment but not so fashionable that it would date

Celine oozes class. I can't remember the last time I used my bay, feels a bit outdated now.

The Céline is gorgeous, but isn’t it about double the price of the Mulberry?

At the moment at least, I feel the Mulberry is a bit outdated. I am sure it will come back in though it’s a classic. I love the Celine.

Looking at them together the Mulberry looks so dated. The Celine is beautiful, if it was me I know I'd have to pick that one otherwise I'd always regret it a little bit.

I saw Mulberry bags in my local TK Maxx (albeit in glass cupboards). This is reason enough for me to not buy this brand.

@SirenDiMare i have got a belt bag, classic box bag, 2 triomphe bags in green and black, a vintage macadam, and a beach bag. I want to get another belt bag in another size as it’s my perfect work bag

Nice choices. Can I ask you, is the Triomphe bag very rigid in structure, and heavy?

@SirenDiMare i don’t find it heavy but it is rigid

I have a couple of Mulberry bags with gold metal work. I find the gold finish wears off very quickly showing the silver base underneath.

I don't mind this because I like things to look a bit worn in and used but it effects resale value (if thats important to you).
