Hi,

Returning to work shortly after maternity leave and looking to buy new smart black trousers. As I’ve a bit of an apron tummy post c-section (and maybe too many sweet treats🙈) I’m looking for trousers without side pockets as I find they always gap on me… also petite length… Am willing to pay decent money for the right pair as hoping they will last and I’ll get value out of them. Personal prefer tapered look to wide leg but am open to whatever suits me… pic for reference

How tall are you?

I’m wondering if perhaps your trouser pockets are gaping because petite trousers just aren’t in the right proportions for you? Have you tried buying trousers that are not in petite ranges - and then having the hems taken up if they’re too long in the lower leg?

I’m 5ft 1in tall. Just think it’s my body shape ie. my belly that makes pockets gap.
