Are my roots really bad ?

I go on holiday in two weeks
Booked at the hairdressers to get my hair done (roots )
Was only there 4 weeks ago
Would you bother with these roots ?
Or use the hair money for extra spends ?

Are my roots really bad ?

Your hair looks great! And unless you’re scrupulous about masking and avoiding the sun likely to change on holiday anyway. Would you not be losing the deposit or letting your hairdresser down if you cancel now though?

BirthdayRainbow · 17/06/2024 14:02

No I wouldn't.

keylimedog · 17/06/2024 14:03

Looks good to me! It think it was a blended root area rather than growing out if I saw your hair.

turnoutthelightss · 17/06/2024 14:13

@Lamelie no I'm not booked till next Friday so plenty of time
I've just been so undecided

Looks quite summery , I wouldn’t book !

turnoutthelightss · 17/06/2024 14:17

I know she will stick a few highlights on top and charge me £100 for it
I try and put it off as long as possible ha ha

Save your money then!

fiddlesticksohyeah · 17/06/2024 14:19

Hair is lovely, spend the money on something else

If you're as resentful as you sound about the cost and work then why go?

Upinthenightagain · 17/06/2024 14:21

Looks like a root drag which I pay to have done!🤣

FFS, she doesn't sound resentful, just trying to save a hundred, and why not? Wouldn't we all? What strange comment to make.

turnoutthelightss · 17/06/2024 14:22

@BirthdayRainbow grey hairs and naturally brunette who wants light hair
Can't do it myself

Revelatio · 17/06/2024 14:22

I think it looks ok. It’s not too blonde at the ends so the dark roots aren’t that noticeable. I’d wait until after holiday, you’ll probably need to do it then as the bleached ends will lighten more that the dark brown roots and it will be more noticeable.

Who knew that people can read different things from statements.

They're fine! And if you're going somewhere sunny you might get some natural brightening anyway! Have a lovely time.

usernother · 17/06/2024 14:31

Absolutely not too bad. Definitely wait until after your holiday before you get them done again.

newyear2024 · 17/06/2024 14:44

People pay money to have a root smudge/ombre and here you have it naturally, I would leave it 100%

blueshoes · 17/06/2024 14:47

Can you buy hair colouring to touch up the roots at home?

My roots grow out ridiculously fast (every 3-4 weeks) and my home dye job costs me 35 quid a year. Each box to touch up the roots gives 3 applications.

longdistanceclaraclara · 17/06/2024 14:47

I'd leave it, it'll just lift when you go away anyway.

OhTediosity · 17/06/2024 15:36

I wouldn't. Sun and chlorine will likely wreck any colour work you have done before you go.

Rayna37 · 17/06/2024 15:40

Don't you have a normal frequency? E.g. I have mine done roughly every 3 months.
Similar style to you, a month is nothing!

Olika · 17/06/2024 16:02

If you are going somewhere sunny and swimming in the pool I wouldn't colour it beforehand

Libertysparkle · 17/06/2024 16:46

No. Looks lovely and it will go blonder on holiday.
