Trainer Advice Please

Last September I fell over and broke my foot in 3 places. I still can't wear shoes for long so need a decent pair of trainers that are supportive. The consultant approved of my current trainers (the previous versions of these Asics) but I really want something white. I've tried wearing my trusty Stan Smiths and Air and Grace but my foot starts to hurt. I tried New Balance but couldn't get on with them.

Can I get away with a white pair of the Asics? Is there another brand of 'proper' trainers that are reasonably fashionable.

I don't know if my foot will ever heal properly so the longer that trainers are acceptable the better!

That sounds nasty @PinkSparklyPussyCat

I don't know about how fashionable they are, but Brooke's do their Adrenaline running shoes in white. They also do a white walking shoe

Go with the ones your consultant approved. Hobbling around is never a good look. Asics are fine.

Those Asics come in white too White Asics

Thanks everyone.

I know I need to be sensible but I'm just a bit fed up. I was initially told I'd broken a metatarsal and would be recovered in 6 weeks but sadly it wasn't as straightforward as that.

I might order the Asics in white, I just have no idea how I'll keep a pair of white fabric trainers clean! I like the Brooks walking shoes as well - I never thought I'd be trying to find a pair of trainers for best!

Boot Buddy is your friend for keeping trainers clean @PinkSparklyPussyCat. Admittedly, I've largely used it for cleaning football boots!

I know not the same issue but I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Podiatrist recommended Hoka brand - they seem to have plenty of white options.

I thought I'd update this thread - I bought these in the end to alternate with my usual Asics https://www.fitflop.com/uk/en/shop/rally-evo-leather-trainers-p-HE5#B22

They are really comfortable. My foot still hurts but it does whatever I wear these days but they make a change from my normal trainers
