What do you think about this Joules jacket?

The other day I saw 2 people on two different occasions wearing this jacket.
I love especially the gold detailing, that’s what caught my eye actually on it ( I asked the wearer where her coat is from)
The jacket is actually more like khaki colour than beige in real life.
Thoughts? I have so many jackets already… but I need this one badly..

Aren't the poppers at the sides so you can wear it on horseback? Hence it being modelled by someone wearing jodhpurs?

Anyway if you like it, you like it. Everyone has their own definition of frumpy.

Have you got a waterproof coat already? I bought my first waterproof coat last summer - the sweaty Betty stride long one - and it's been the most useful coat I have ever bought. I have navy.
That coat would be very useful but it's not getting anywhere in the style stakes imo.
I would buy it in navy personally as it wouldn't show marks as easily esp if it's going to be thrown in the boot of the car or shoved in a bag just in case it rains.

Google is telling me that Joules is "countryside inspired" so it might just be styled that way rather than intended for equestrian use.

I’ve got a very similar one from fat face. I quite like it. I’ve yet to see a raincoat that’s not a bit frumpy

It isn't meant for horseriding. I like it. I ha be one similar and wear it a lot.
