Cotton maxi skirt

I'm looking for cheap cotton maxis. Cheap because they're just to wear on and around the beach and may get damp/grubby/sandy, so I can't buy anything I need to be careful about!

Cotton because I can't abide synthetic fabrics in hot weather. (I like linen too, but I'm assuming I won't find a cheap one of those.)

Not much bothered about the colour or style, although I'd like them to be loose and relaxed, so tiered is good, or voluminous – not fitted. I'm 5' 10", too, so they need to be genuinely long.

Have you searched your favourite brands/style on Vinted? You can include fabric, size etc too.

I've had a look on Vinted, yes. I don't have many requirements, just fabric and length, so it's a long slog!

Primark and Amazon are your friends!

Primark are all viscose or polyester or have a synthetic lining. Well, there's one plain cotton one, but at £18 it's not as dirt-cheap as I was hoping for.
Amazon: won't they all be from sweatshops?

Anything anywhere near 18 quid or less will be sweatshop frankly.

Yes, I'm probably being unrealistic. I just know I'll only wear them on holiday, and they'll get grubby and mucky, and I don't want to spend a lot of money for that.

Even expensive dresses seem to be made of viscose these days!

Try sites like La Redoute. I got a broderie cotton one from there.

I know, I'm always shocked when I look at the prices on Whistles and the like.

Worth the slog for some genuine bargains.

I was looking for the same thing OP and quite by chance saw exactly what I wanted in the window of a shop in our local town. Only way to describe the shop is one of those where everything is cheap, polyester and skin tight. There were lots of early teens looking identical with long hair, fake designer bags and big eyelashes - you get the drift.

I digress. The skirts were ideal, various patterns and colours, deep shirred waist so they can be pulled up an used as a strapless dress and amazingly 100% cotton. It's definitely worth having a look somewhere you wouldn't normally go is what I'm trying to say.

Matalan have a cotton leopard print one atm. Very on trend.

The 'original' dress I have in mind on this issue is one I had that was EXACTLY one of those – deep waist, can be a shorter dress or a maxi skirt, light pure cotton.
Unfortunately mine was from a holiday in India, where I think it cost about £1. Stupidly, I gave it away some time ago.

I rarely go window-shopping as I just don't have the spare time. Was vaguely thinking that if I could find a couple of hours to go to Whitechapel/Brick Lane type areas I might strike it lucky, though.
Or, and I'm only half-joking here, if you happened to go back and could pick me up a couple I'd happily pay for your time and effort (on top of cost and postage, obvs)…

I know, Vinted can be great, it's just I have painful hands (medical condition), and I spend too much time on screens as it is...

Can't help because I did get a nice one at m&s but it's above the ankle at 5'7". I think they do have a lot of beach wear though.
