I had my first formal meeting for ages today and really struggled with clothes. I borrowed a blazer in grey soft fabric and wore a cream/ black blouse and some ancient trousers with some boots. I felt (and I suspect looked) awful. Most days in office I can wear black jeans and a shirt and smart trainers. I've yet to find some wide legs which work on my short menopausal barrel body and can't bring myself to tuck in yet.
Is a blazer still a good thing over a tucked in tighter top ? What shoes are we wearing ? I see a mix of chunky brogues on the younger women and some ballet pumps sneaking back in. Mainly wider trousers but as it's a male dominated environment, I don't have many women to copy / get inspiration from.
I had a mad wardrobe clear out and got rid of loads of dresses but don't like dresses with tights in the (ever so slightly ) warmer weather but bare legs are out too.
