Fix my sandpaper hands!

Help. I washed up without gloves using a really strong cleaning product, and now my hands are so dry I they make a sshhh sshhh sound when I rub them together. They are so dry and coarse. I've been putting body oil on them maybe 3 times a day and it's not making any difference. Should I use a moisturising cream instead?

Clarins hand and nail cream.

Flyhigher · 11/06/2024 04:41

Vaseline. Or some foot cream.

Floorbard · 11/06/2024 05:28

I wash my hands a million times a day and the only cream I find which actually makes my hands look like hands and not part of an alligator is o’keefes working hands night treatment!

Neutrogena Norwegian is the best I've ever used. Tiny tube, about £4. Has 300 applications in each one. (It'll last you for years)

Hard skin cream for feet makes brilliant hand cream

ArghhWhatNext · 11/06/2024 06:09

Huge dose of nutrogena at night, I’d wear cotton gloves too. Then small top ups through the day

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 11/06/2024 06:09

Another vote for working hands, but the pot is better than the tube.

O'Keefe's working hands cream. Brilliant stuff.

Highlighta · 11/06/2024 06:16

EA 8 hour cream. With cotton gloves overnight.

Foot cream

Try a sugar scrub with olive oil and a little bit of sugar. It worked for me when I was washing my hands loads.

Seconded.

Flexitol Hand Balm is brilliant! I'm always washing my hands and this stuff is the only product that prevents my hands going back to sandpaper!

Thirding for o'keefes
