Was wondering if there is a specific pair of docs people would recommend? Have 300 euros here in Ireland and it will be my big purchase of the summer. I'm a teacher and planning on wearing them everyday in the autumn.

There's a really soft version that's comfortable straight out of the box, i think they're "virginia". I have a few of these. One pair arrived an hr before an unexpected trip. I put them on and then travelled for 24 hrs and then wore them off and on for 6 weeks. There was initially minor rub but they were basically very comfortable.

Any with the fur lining, they’re so soft. I’ve got some with zips up the side which are so comfortable.

They are indeed comfortable but be aware the soft leather will last as any regular boots will last. Unlike the original hard leather which pretty much doesn't die.

I have Pascal Virginias and Serenas. I love them both! The Pascals are a bit more versatile e.g. gig in summer. I couldn't wear furry ones before about October.
