Dyson Airwrap has died

I’m so pissed off, my airwrap is just over 3 years old.
Was repaired once under warranty but now has stopped working again, sent it to Dyson who have said it’s not repairable!
They’ve offered me 25% off a new one but I feel that’s still extortionate for an item that will only last 3 years.

So does anyone have recommendations for a replacement? I actually don’t use the curling feature very often but I love the straightening brush and smoothing tool.

Seen that Babyliss seem to do various similar hairbrush/hair dryer combos at reasonable prices and of course there is the Shark version of the airwrap which is cheaper but still quite expensive

I bought the shark because I didn’t have the budget for the dyson. It’s ok. It’s good that it’s an all in one for travel as I use the hairdryer and styling brush but if I am honest, I wish I hadn’t bothered. My hairdryer and babyliss big brush were just fine. I was caught up with marketing and the holidays we have booked this year. My hair is now getting longer so I am now also looking at straighteners. It’s never ending.

I did try the revlon brush but I found it awkward.

If it is for straightening the Revlon wide brush is very good and very cheap.

I use the Babyliss Big Hair airdryer daily to style my shoulder length hair and it’s great. I have fairly straight hair to begin with so this just smooths and adds a touch of volume. I usually dry it off quickly with hairdryer before I start styling my hair.

My 9 year old daughter has the Revlon Paddle brush which was bought to get her to dry her hair which it’s ideal for. I’ve tried it a few times on mine but I can’t really get a style with it, just more of a hair dryer. Too awkward, as a pp said.
