For a wedding guest?

Can't stop looking at it. Wedding is at a country hotel and it's an early afternoon wedding.

Is this too much?

Nobody's Child have a similar dress minus frills

CrotchetyQuaver · 07/06/2024 14:24

I went to one last year and they wanted a 'Bridgerton vibe' which floored me. I just scrubbed up, shaved my legs and went in a pretty dress which is a long way from my normal. I think that dress would have been perfect

Bohomovies · 07/06/2024 17:03

It’s pretty flamboyant, but I think it’s appropriate.

MaGueule · 07/06/2024 17:07

Gosh. My first thought was Miss Havershsham. I’m not sure it’s really wedding attire.

CharlotteRumpling · 07/06/2024 17:09

Oh my lord. I realise everything is subjective but please no.

Wanttolikekimchee · 07/06/2024 17:10

Loo roll holder from 1975 springs to mind

If the bottom was sans frills you might just get away with it.

This. Love it, but the frills on the skirt are a bit OTT. Would love to see it on

Claricestarling1 · 07/06/2024 17:16

Oh I love it 😍

quietpink · 07/06/2024 17:36

It's really pretty and totally wedding guest appropriate. Buy it and enjoy it.

Brightredtulips · 07/06/2024 17:37

Is it a western themed wedding?

Thistooshallpass. · 07/06/2024 17:39

It's like fancy dress.. either toilet roll dolly or Bridgerton wannabe . The frills make it so old fashioned with that print .

MaryFuckingFerguson · 07/06/2024 17:41

It’s very, er, frilly.

Swallowdoubleandrunamile · 07/06/2024 17:48

I actually like it, though I'm not sure why.
It's the opposite of the things I usually like but it's a statement at the same time as being whimsical.
OP, at 6ft and swishing around in the sun, I bet you'll look amazing.

EverythingYouDoIsaBalloon · 07/06/2024 17:53

Looks bridesmaidy to me, sorry.

DreadPirateRobots · 07/06/2024 17:59

Bo-Peep with a coke habit.

99victoria · 07/06/2024 18:54

Would all those ruffles need ironing? 😱

genesis92 · 07/06/2024 19:12

PMPBlue · 07/06/2024 13:42

It is very pretty, but it looks like it could be accessorised with a crook and some sheep.

😂

PattyDuckface · 07/06/2024 19:22

It's gorgeous. I think it's totally appropriate for a wedding. It's the absolute epitome of a wedding guest dress.

Also, why is everyone trying to temper beauty?

Get it, wear it, you're a long time dead.

🤣🤣🤣

MissAtomicBomb1 · 07/06/2024 20:48

You would need small, very perky boobs to pull that off as well. That neckline wouldn't be flattering on most!

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 08/06/2024 00:33

KrazyboutKillian · 07/06/2024 13:36

Too much ? Too much what ?
I really love it tbh , it’s very feminine, those layers will swish when you walk and dance
if your normal style is cos or reiss then it is a big departure from pared back style
but sounds like the event and venue are perfect for it

I agree.

IHaveNeverLivedintheCastle · 08/06/2024 00:35

JammyJellyfish · 07/06/2024 13:46

Yes. And I think to pull it off you would need a really tall and slender body type to pull off all the frills etc. I would look horrific in it 😅

No. All you need to pull it off is you like and you're confident in your own choices. I like it.

Leopardstiltskin · 08/06/2024 00:59

Love Selkie, go for it! Also this is quite understated for them!

Is it a western themed wedding?

I was going to ask if the wedding is at The Little House at The Prairie
