If you have wavy not curly hair .@ let it be natural, what products do you use?

Shampoo, conditioner, curling products?

I use Aussie miracle curl shampoo, conditioner and curl cream and also a little bit of moose

GreenSmithing · 07/06/2024 06:51

I use John Frieda curly hair shampoo and conditioner, then a light weight serum if the weather is dry.

IME, the important thing is less the specific product and more to air dry, handle it as little as possible once it's dry and not to use too much product. The curly girl technique and a lot of the super moisturising products designed for curly hair are too heavy and make wavy hair go lank.

My hair is wavy and longish. In warm weather I plait it in two plaits for beachy waves.
In cold weather I use a diffuser.

I use the cheap Creightons curl creme but I don't wash with special products, just supermarket shampoo and conditioner.

I love Bed head products, especially after party cream. I'll plait it sometimes so it's more wavy, and I always leave it to air dry 90%, then use the cool setting on hairdryer to dry it off properly. Sometimes, I'll use a bit of mousse if I've curled the ends to give it a bouncer look.

Heard great things about merwave.

mondaytosunday · 07/06/2024 07:17

My stylist recommended John Freida stuff but to be honest I can't be bothered with the combing through the conditioner etc so half the time use 2 in 1 shampoo and I like Pantene. I can't see it makes much difference what I use (I have a choppy bob and let it dry naturally with no products).

I've bought merwave. I'm liking it so far, but haven't worked out how to get the top looking nice!

Shea moisture Hydrate and Repair deep conditioner once a month
uncle funkys daughter curly magic
innersense gel I Create Hold
Dyson diffuser

HollyGolightly4 · 07/06/2024 12:01

@LePetitMarseillias I bought the kit, so it's 5 steps (shampoo, condition, feed, cast, hold)
plus a free mask which I haven't used yet!

it's not working with a hairdryer, but I can't find my diffuser so that might be why!

LePetitMarseillias · 08/06/2024 14:36

@HollyGolightly4 just ordered the kit!
Can't wait to try it 👩🏻‍🦱
Will report back!

Excellent! It's definitely making my hair much wavier and it feels very natural.

Photoontheshelf · 08/06/2024 17:36

Not fussed about shampoo and conditioner - it makes no difference - the game changer for me is Boucleme Curl Defining Gel and a Dyson Hairdryer

LePetitMarseillias · 09/06/2024 08:35

I'd like to give the drier a rest.
My hair is so dry from colour and heat.
