Linen - what's normal?

I've just received a linen shirt that I had ordered online. It's a beautiful colour and fit and the fabric feels a nice weight, but I've noticed a couple of flaws in the fabric and I'm not sure whether that's right. I have other linen shirts which were cheaper and feel lighter weight than this one, but don't have visible flaws that I've noticed. They look like threads that have caught or been pulled - can anyone help, is that what's to be expected for good quality linen or should I be contacting customer services? Thanks in advance

Have you got a photo?

Pic attached, hopefully. This is the most noticeable bit, it's between two of the buttons

Is it slubbed linen? This will have the odd raised piece of texture in certain parts of the fabric as part of the manufacturing process.

I've just checked and it wasn't described as slubbed

Is it Massimo Dutti?

I expect slubs but not pulled threads.
How does the quality feel otherwise? Higher quality is generally closer woven with more threads per inch, though if it’s lightweight the threads will be finer. I bought some linen voile recently which is like silk, it’s incredible- light and sheer but still very obviously high quality.

Ok having looked at your photo I don’t think those flaws in a visible place are acceptable unless it is quite a cheap garment. They are not just the way linen is.

Thank you, that's what my gut was telling me but I don't have a huge amount of linen so wanted to make sure. I will contact customer services and see what they say. Thanks all!

I’m not sure about the threads but it’s a lovely colour. Where’s it from? I’ve been looking for a shirt that colour.
