Colours

I suspect this has been done to death but is it really worth it to get your colours done?
I have put on a mid blue (darkish but not navy) today and I never wear blue. It’s the best I’ve looked in ages. So it started me wondering. I’ve done a good google but my colouring doesn’t seem to fit anywhere.
I know I can’t wear some colours such as pale or salmon pink and true red makes me look washed out too although I do ok in deep red. Also look nice in baby pink. I have green/ blue eyes and mousey brown hair with deep red highlights (natural) and I’m super super pale, I wear porcelain makeup.
None of the colour palettes seem to be me so I’m worried it may be a waste of money. Anyone had them done and glad they did and conversely anyone regret it?

It showed me which ones were most flattering on me but I don't like a lot of them so I don't wear them (I'm a winter jewel as far as I recall). I do go back and look at my results every time I think about building a capsule wardrobe.

Looking back I would say it was interesting and accurate but I don't make much use of it. I don't know if that helps!

Yes, one of the best things I’ve done. Save loads of money afterwards too.
Like you I’m deathly pale, blue/green eyes, was dark reddish brown till turned pure snow white in my twenties. The veins test was useless as couldn’t tell blue or green, seemed in between. Thought I must be a summer or winter of some kind but both red & pastels made me look ready for the undertaker so decided to spend the money & get it done with House of Colour. Turned out I was a spring of all things but the yellows etc still weren’t right on me as I’m a Blue Spring, the coolest sort. It’s been a revelation finding colours that do actually suit me & make me look alive! Big advantage of being a Blue Spring is that both silver & gold jewellery work equally well on me. The make up part was helpful too, far more than any in store make up counter.

Thanks for the replies.
I thought perhaps I was a winter. But maybe a spring?! I guess you don’t know until you get it done properly.

I agree about not fitting a profile. I have light brown hair with reddish tones, it looks red on photos or if I'm out in the sun, with a white patch of about a cm all down the front of the front of my hair, right side only.

I can't really see my veins and they seem to vary from green to blue when I can see them. I also have blue eyes.

You seem to know what colours suits you so I think it would be a waste

I'd say a spring as well with your colouring
