If you could choose ONLY ONE makeup brand, which would it be?

Mine would be ELF. Affordable, cruelty free and contains near exact dupes of higher end products. Could do a full face with 3-4 products.

Oh god! So very difficult! I'd have to say Benefit but then I'd have to have a little funeral service for my Soap & Glory eyebrow pencil/pen Archery because there is nothing as good!

Queencam · 03/06/2024 19:13

Mac

never heard of ELF and off to investigate

RaraRachael · 03/06/2024 19:14

Boots Naturals

henlake7 · 03/06/2024 19:15

ELF, mainly for ethics and price but its a nice range as well.

Although Primark are winning me over with some of their stuff at the moment!

NCfor24 · 03/06/2024 19:20

I think I'd have to base it on foundation and mascara so Maybelline or Primark. However my powder, blush and lipstick are Laura Geller and I love them...and have had good mascara from the brand too, I just resent spending over £10 when there are so many great cheap mascaras!

As a budget beauty fan I feel like I'm missing out not trying ELF, I last used it when it was an online only 99p type brand!

Maddy70 · 03/06/2024 19:23

Maybeline. Love the long lasting lipstick and mascaras

bingohandjob · 03/06/2024 19:24

Laura Mercier or, after spending my Liberty Beauty Drop pot on a few Lisa Eldridge items, the refillable Cinnabar eye palette in particular being a stand out idiot proof to use and long lasting pay off colour, LE.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 03/06/2024 19:31

I came on to say ELF, bought a few of their products now and very impressed, until I bought one of the mascaras and it's shit. To be fair at 42 I've yet to find a decent mascara that ticks all the boxes.

MAC used to be my go to but I feel it's gone downhill in recent years.

WetBandits · 03/06/2024 19:34

Nyx for me, I think!

AstonMartha · 03/06/2024 19:36

Dior or Victoria Beckham. Absolutely cannot choose!

BottomlessBrunch · 03/06/2024 19:43

Estée Lauder.
Mainly for their double wear range.

NYX for the budget friendly option.

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 03/06/2024 19:43

Mac, but only because their foundation is a good match for me. Not to fussy about all other make up.

Might have to sneak my Dior 999 lipstick in though.

FourNiltotheArsenal · 03/06/2024 19:43

Givenchy, mainly because of their Prisme Libre powder, it really is good.

MyBigFatGreekSalad · 03/06/2024 19:44

Charlotte tilbury purely for the flawless filter.

sandygrapes · 03/06/2024 19:45

Estée Lauder. Such a safe bet. Best foundations ever I've ever used and good blushers and other stuff

I have olive, yellow undertones though so buying make up is hard! Lots of brands don't have my skin type

nobeans · 03/06/2024 19:45

I used to be ride or die pat mcgrath labs but the brand sold and then its never quite been the same since. I will go for Suqqu

Carouselfish · 03/06/2024 19:47

Came to say ELF too. Vegan, foundation makes me fab.

Bumble6 · 03/06/2024 19:51

Bobbi Brown. Brilliant foundation and primer.

narwhalsarereal · 03/06/2024 19:52

KVD.
As a pale girly this brand is perfect. Perfect shades of foundation, lovely blushes, great mascara, gorgeous lipsticks & the dazzle sticks are gorgeous on the eyes

NellyWest · 03/06/2024 19:55

Hourglass. Nothing compares. Which is a shame cos maternity pay and their new face palette don’t mix 😂

Synergies · 03/06/2024 19:55

May I hijack this thread to ask if you wise beauty experts can recommend a brand that is particularly good for older skin (dry and a bit wrinkly)?

HooverIsAlwaysBroken · 03/06/2024 19:57

Jones Road - amazing foundation (if you like light cover), great for 45+

avocadotofu · 03/06/2024 20:01

Hourglass.

Penelope1703 · 03/06/2024 20:03

Hourglass or merit

Prinnny · 03/06/2024 20:04

Charlotte Tilbury for me, basically all I use.
