Botox whilst on period

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had Botox whilst on their period? It's my first time and I really struggle with needles in general (I numb my arms for blood tests 🙈). It's the piecing of my skin that I hate rather than the sight of a needle, my pain threshold is just awful.

My clinic has said it's fine but my skin will be more sensitive and I am more likely to bruise, so now I'm scared! But I kind of need to get it at this time as I have a holiday coming up and wanted to ensure I leave enough time in case I need the top up too.

Am I overthinking it all? Will the numbing cream help at all? Any advice would be appreciated 🙂

Probably be a little bit more sensitive but you will be grand. Get the numbing cream. Be over in ten minutes. Mind over matter!!! No pain/no gain.
Take a paracetamol before you go.

Honestly Botox doesn’t hurt at all. I’ve never felt any pain. You’ll be fine.

Profhilo stings like an absolute bugger though. Botox is the least painful thing I’ve had done to my face!

I'm with you, I always find Botox painful even with numbing cream! Some people are more sensitive than others, I suffer with hypersensitivity and even what some people would call a light touch on my arm or leg actually hurts me.

Just try to grin and bear it, I always think of the benefits.
