Alternative to sandals

Hi. I’m desperately searching for some nice summer footwear. I had an accident 4 months ago and am missing both my big toenails it’s very obvious and I don’t want to display my feet! I’ve been struggling I find nice shoes for summer that aren’t Toms that I can wear mainly with summer dresses. I’m happy to invest in a few pairs, some for the office and others more causally. My only criteria are that my toes are covered and they’re relatively flat so I can chase kids about. Does anyone have any inspiration?

What about fisherman's sandals? They have a cage over the feet that hides the toes. Something like this

I'd just stick with trainers you like, nobody would bat an eyelid. Loads of people never wear sandals and always wear trainers with dresses. Converse very popular.

Most styles of Menorcan sandals cover your toenail areas and just show the tip of the toe. I’ve always bought Solillas like these

I also need to run after kids at work and have bought these- they are very comfortable.

I've got a toe that I want to keep hidden at the moment too and have just ordered some fisherman's sandals from white stuff. They have a couple of styles that look like they could work.

I can't show people my feet, they'd run away.
I wear Fitflop Rally trainers. So comfy and not chunky like proper trainers.

I got some really comfy fisherman sandals in Primark for £12.
I also wear rocket dog jazzin.

What about regular pumps? Or do you want something cooler and more sandal like? I can't imagine an injury where both large toe nails fall off! Was it from a marathon 🙁

I usually wear converse in the summer. I find all sandals so uncomfortable as I walk a lot. Even the so called comfortable ones.

I also think most are bloody ugly

Anyone know why they are called Fisherman sandals? I've known a few in my time (ahem) but mostly they wear waders.

Espadrilles are lovely I think

I could only wear crocs with PF - they do some lovely sandals, but I think only the original crocs are anything like wide fit, all the others are pretty narrow imo.

Crocs are very fashionable at the mo ime.
