hi, whats the quality like with this brand please, I just received a white cotton waistcoat / top from John lewis website, I love it but one of the buttons keep popping open, the button hole looks too big, yes I could sow it up , but at £49 I didn't expect to have too, just looked on the website and there are a few things I like,

Omg I thought it was just my shit washing skills! I had a few of their midi length dresses that shrunk lengthways in the wash! They used to be by my ankles and came out mid calf length!
The quality isn’t great which is a shame as their designs appeal to me, quite unfussy and solid staples. But I wouldn’t spend the money on them again, not even on vinted as you’re essentially paying a lot for poor quality fast fashion. I think I’ve had 3 dresses from them and in the last 12 months and the length on 2 of them really annoys me now, the other one has a couple of loose buttons (worn twice) and it was about £70 I think, I shouldn’t be having to resew buttons on after 2 wears.

I buy in the sale, bought some good bits recently - they look nice & washing hasn't shrunk or twisted anything

I wouldn't pay full price though.

Some of the fabric lasts better than others - I only get the thicker, slightly textured viscose and the cotton dresses. Size up in case it get washed too hot and shrinks.

Cuts are genius - so are some prints.

How weird. I and my DDs have loads of Nobodys Child. All really good quality, washed well, not shrank. No viscose at all, all cotton and linen. I buy from them as they are one of the few places that still have 100% cotton/linen. Fat Face on the other hand have really gone down.

Actually I've just done a search on summer dresses 98% are cotton or linen. Where are you all finding the viscose ones??

I did have a nice jumper by them that I got in the M&S clearance section for a fiver.

I have several of their dresses and have not had a problem with any of them. I always buy new and the price and quality are similar to Mint Velvet or Whistles. That is my opinion anyway. I’m surprised others have found it similar to New Look.

I ha e been tempted twice and sent back twice. Not going to do it again. I like the styles but the finish and fabric are shite for the price.

Nine are over a year old, my guess I'd they've improved on quality.
