Miracle handcream for aging hands

AncoraAmarena · 29/05/2024 12:09

Can anyone recommend a handcream to help my hands look less ancient than they actually are? All of a sudden my skin looks really thin and crepey. I do use handcream but think I need something to target the problem.

Please help!

Thanks. I did do a search but bizarrely that thread didn't come up.

However the item has been 'removed from sale' on that link so will have to see if I can find it elsewhere. There's no indication of cost though so hope I don't get a shock....

This stuff is great!

When you use any kind of face serum or cream [retinol, vit C] rub the last bits into the backs of your hands and apply sunscreen to them too.
This stuff is really good although the smell is a bit...odd. I see there is an unscented version but haven't tried this myself.

I think you already know that there is no miracle cure for ageing hands - if only!

Many us old-time nurses who washed our hands a million times a day kept a small tube of Atrixo or Neutragena in our pockets to at least limit the damage.

If your skin is thin and crepey you need to eat more fat, e.g. olive oil, avocado, cheese, full-fat dairy, nuts etc.

L’Occitane is good. The Shea creams & they also do a very rich one for use overnight as it’s a bit heavy for daytime.

I looked at that thread, but the cream is over £20 not sure if I would pay that for a hand cream.

I saw a video on YouTube which said that rubbing the yolk of an egg onto your hands, and sleeping with it on overnight is really beneficial. Apparently your hands soak up the protein of the yolk. I tried it last weekend and I noticed a significant improvement. Better than any cream I've used.

Body Shop Hemp hand cream is amazing at plumping skin.
