See through trousers - aaargh

I’m going to Greece in 3 weeks and had visions of wafting about in some white linen trousers but I have tried on eleventy billion pairs today and they are all see through, not just ‘I can see your knickers’ see through, but even down to the mole on my bum! Why do shops do this?

If anyone has any recommendations for some, my modestly clad derrière will be very thankful

Not that anyone is bothered but I managed to find some in Seasalt with pockets on the bum for better coverage

I have been looking too and yes all too thin. I feel the quality is lower to keep the price down.
I will give Seasalt a look, are they true to size?

H&M have linen trousers with pockets on the bum, think they're around the £16 mark.
I bought some, they're nice and not completely see through.

You need skin coloured underwear, that'll cover you.

They are always like this. Thats why linen is so cool. Wear nude knickera underneath

I dont understand why shops do this either. They bring out loads of totally see through beach wear designed for throwing over a bikini.
Great for a holiday but what about the rest of the time when you are just walkng the dog or off to Tescos!?

I too like a nice pair of white linen trousers in the summer, I just wear a thong to avoid visible knickers

You need much better linen than most high street shops sell. Something like Oska, which I get on Vinted or eBay. No chance of being see-through.
Community Clothing and Toast also good for linen.

OP went on holiday nearly 2 years ago and wore trousers from Seasalt.

The other option is to be very deliberate in your underwear.....make it look like you planned for it to be seen!😁

Next have some that are quite good - they have some tailored ones that are lined a bit
