I have a really good optician whom I've been seeing for years, but I really hate the small range of glasses they have available at the moment. Everything about them seems a bit off, IYKWIM — and even the least offensive are £200+ a pair without the cost of my complex varifocal lenses.
I'm normally a great supporter of small local businesses but on this occasion I'm not going to buy bad spex just to keep them in business. Which online companies do MNetters recommend? Not just for the frames but for the quality of the lenses? I need variifocals and I have an astigmatism, so not a cheap prescription.
And I am somewhere between a heart-shaped and a round face, so probably need rectangular spex. If anyone has suggestions, I'd be grateful. My face is quite wide at the temple and I've sometimes found men's specs are a bit broader.
