Help with Dye

I’ve just used a dylon dye on a linen dress and despite agitating - it has come out patchy - anyone any experience of using non washing machine dye?
is it worth getting another sachet or will it just make the existing darker areas even darker? And still not cover the patchy sections

Worth a try but I prefer the machine wash ones, everything i have used them on has come out well apart from one with funny colour stitching that didn't take.
