What are classic casual shoes brands (non sporty)?

After some very exciting weight loss, I'm starting to buy some clothes.

For years I've lived in ratty cheap stuff, that I would wear until they wore out.
I've always liked a classical look (honestly Queen EII is my fashion idol, even tho I'm much younger!)

What are good casual shoes for this kind of aesthetic? I know Adidas sambas are big and new balance, but was wondering what exists thats not so 90s sporty?

Or was it a case that casual shoes were so much more specific, like boat shoes for a boat and espadrilles for a holiday?

Any recommendations please? Something British heritage-y would be great!

Converse are quite classic IMHO and can be worn with jeans and dresses.

Before trainers I think people would have worn shoes we would now view as formal. A closed toe sandal maybe, a brogue or a small heel.

I wear Allbirds Tree Runners and love them. So comfortable.
