They are costing me £95 as it is and I'm not used to paying for delivery when I'm spending that much. Call me mean if you like!

Deliver to store? Or have you tried vinted? I got a brand new pair of big buckle leather ones for £55 recently. I know what you mean though, when spending so much I'd also expect free shipping

Try other retailers, I got my last ones through Office.

ByCupidStunt · 26/05/2024 14:13

I'm sure someone somewhere will offer free delivery, just a case of trawling the internet surely?

lemonyellows · 26/05/2024 14:31

Amazon prime?

Exactly.

Agree, it's worth looking for different retailers.

i bought some from Flannels last year. i normally begrudge paying delivery, but the ones i wanted were half price on Flannels, so the saving was decent, even with delivery.

John Lewis currently have some styles on offer.

I last bought some Birkenstocks two and a half years ago online direct from Birkenstocks. There was no delivery charge then. Maybe its changed since then.

OatFlatWhiteForMe · 26/05/2024 15:01

John Lewis currently have 10% off and free delivery.

whirlyhead · 26/05/2024 15:02

I bought mine directly from Birkenstocks website last week and there was no delivery charge.

Sign up for the newsletter, they send you a £10 voucher which will cover the p&p plus give you a small discount.

Bearpawk · 26/05/2024 23:05

ASOS ?

TootGoesTheOwl · 27/05/2024 10:36

I couldn't be bothered begrudging £6 for something I was prepared to spend £95 on.

Amx · 27/05/2024 14:58

There's an influencer called something like 40plus on insta and she often links birkies with a discount code and free posting.

I've not used her codes yet but worth a look. Her name is Helen (hopefully someone can correct me if she's not just called 40plus )

StripedTomatoes · 27/05/2024 15:02

Work out how much it would cost you in petrol/parking/bus fares/whatever to go and get them from a shop, plus factor in the time and effort to do this. Then pay the six quid.

Stargazing24 · 27/05/2024 15:03

Order from Next and go and collect them free. Or I think it’s £4.95 for delivery.

LindorDoubleChoc · 28/05/2024 05:02

Thanks everyone. John Lewis didn't have the style I wanted, but I ended up getting 5% off on another site plus free delivery.

This! I live in a rural area and a return trip to a shop that sells actual clothes or shoes would be a minimum of an hour each way. Return train to nearest big city is £25 plus. I pay the shipping fee
