What 'wet weather' footwear with these navy trousers?

I've some navy crinkle material wid(ish) leg trousers and have lots of tops to go with them. Ideal for nights out when I want smarter than my usual leggings/Jeggings but not full on dresses up. I usually wear them with wedges or sandals but none of mine will fare well in the wet. However we have rain forecast for the foreseeable and no footwear I have goes with them. They don't look right with boots. They're a bit long for flats. but I don't want really high heels, so something inbetween.

Any ideas?

Trainers? I wear similar trousers with Nike AF1s/Dunks, or they'd go with Sambas/Gazelles (although they seem to be on the way out of fashion).

Platform trainers like Converse or those Nike ones, the name has escaped me. Keeps your hem off the floor without a high heel.
