Plus size tights that won't roll down!

I'm about a UK size 22. Need to wear tights, preferably sheer ones rather than opaque, but they are usually too small and even if they fit, don't have strong enough elastic at the top, so they roll down instead of staying up!

Suggestions, please!

Snag tights

Snag are the only tights I've managed to wear without swearing. They do thinner ones now, not just very thick and have normal colours as well as funky ones.

I hate the name of the company but these are the best I've found, much better than snag in my experience (I've tried them too and they're OK but some hit and miss).

I find going up a size really helps.

Snag every time.

Another vote for Snag! I even wore mine when heavily pregnant (not maternity tights).

Thank you all - definitely going to try Snag! I had heard of them, but thought they were all weird colours like bright orange opaque ones. Will also try the Big Bloomers Co - yes, I don't like the name, either!

Snag are ok but I prefer Better Tights.

Better tights seem to have a wider range of the lower deniers. Their range of day to day colours is also better. Snag seem to be more focused on crazy designs and odd colours these days.

I don't get on with Snag at all, they're far too long in the body for me and in the leg. And I've tried several sizes.

I swear by M & S - XL size.

They roll down when they are too small.

Snag go on but are just 'there', they go baggy, will go up to your ribcage with the ability to fit your arms in as well (as they're designed with six foot four tights wearers in mind - great if you're six foot four and 26 stone, not great if you're five foot five and 15 stone 6) and if you're not into psychedlic colours or fishnets with holes designed to catch Blue Whales, are very boring, unflattering colours. The just 'there' means they don't provide any sense of support to a section overhang and that means everything is able to get hot and rub in summer weather - at size 22, that's not a pleasant feeling and it means you don't have the smoother line that properly fitting tights can give you under a dress.

Better Tights, however, have been made with female heights, weights and shapes in mind, are a much finer knit with more stretch in all deniers - and whilst there are plenty of bright colours, there's also a large range of perfectly work appropriate ones, including some with subtle patterns. They also delivered far, far quicker than Snag when I ordered from them.

I got on well with maternity tights, cos my tummy is my biggest part. I ordered some random brand off of Amazon
