Saltwater squidgy sole/swimmer sandals, have you tried them?

I love my saltwaters and have multiple pairs in different colours in the "classic" version.

Thinking of getting a pair of the boardwalk version for our summer holiday in Italy as we do a lot of walking, I have no complaints about the classic version for this but wondering if I can treat my feet with the squidgy sole.

Has anyone tried them, are they as hard wearing as the classics? Am a bit worried the soles might wear out quicker than the leather uppers .

I'm very interested in the answer to this too as I find the classics too unforgiving for walking long distances. I don't like the look of the sole from the side tbh, but tempted as I know they are meant to be more comfortable...

I just got some half price with the birthday offer, will report back! I love the idea of sea salts (living at the coast they are pretty handy) but the soles are not comfortable on the classics.
