I need some help. I'm 44 and overweight with a mumtum. I'm supposed to be going to see girls aloud with a group of younger girl friends soon. I have nothing to wear and I don't know what to buy. It's in Sheffield so the weather could be anything but it might be hot in there. I don't look nice in jeans, I don't want to wear anything too booby or too short or too tight. All the dresses I have are like summer or winter dresses or evening attire and nothing seems right for the occasion. And shoes? I don't really wear heels but what should I wear. This time of year is hard because normally I'd just wear Chelsea boots or sandals but again it doesn't seem right. Ideas on a postcard...

I’d def go for comfort on my feet for concerts, been there done that with heels
at concerts and recently went to see take that wearing pumps and my feet felt sooo much better and i danced the night away. As you don’t like jeans, I’d wear a summer dress, or midi skirt with fitted t shirt(maybe a satin one would make your outfit dressier if thats what you are wanting) flat/platform pumps or wedges,or even flat chunky boots, (weather dependant) , with a denim or leather jacket. I live in sheffield and have been to the arena quite a but. Its not overly warm or too cold in there. Enjoy girls aloud. I’m jealous 😁

Ok thank you! I think I will wear trainers then if that's what other people are doing. Skirts don't suit me sadly but I'd love to be able to wear a midi skirt and silk top! But I'll dig out a summer dress perhaps. I've got a denim jacket 👍🏼

I’m sure it will be fine whatever you wear, are you able to ask your friends what outfits they are planning (i do) so you can get a feel for if they are going dressy/casual.
