Ascot dress!

Please can you help me find a dress for Ascot! I’m in my 40s, 5 ft 7 inch and size 10. I haven’t a bra for strapless / halter neck (and a low budget!) so prefer something with straps. I’m rubbish at this sort of thing (don’t get out much) and it’s my first work-do for a new company. Please help! Budget about £100 max.

Do.you need a hat/fascinator too? Do you have shoes?

If you have black shoes and a black clutch already then dress no 2 would work. Maybe a cheap green fascinator/headband thing?

Have you checked dress code?

You don't have black heels or heeled sandals? Can you borrow some?

Nimbus1999 · 17/05/2024 21:34

I can probably borrow some! I like dress 2! You don’t think too black for Ascot? I was thinking I’d have to wear something a lighter colour. The style is perfect for that one. I have a fairly small waist, big hips and quite busty so think it would work!

I think dress 2 is lovely. Admittedly it is dark but the fullness of the skirt I think makes it suitable for Ascot. Every other woman will be in pink. I think it's a bit different, in price range and sounds like it would suit your shape.
