Comfy shoes to wear with a suit or smart dress

I love the look of a pointed heel with smart trousers or a smart tailored dress but I cannot wear heels these days.

Does anyone have recommendations for an alternative that is flat and comfy and suitable to walk in all day?

I don't think I want ballet flats. Maybe loafers are are they super mumsy? Or pointed flats?

black leather

Pointed flats are good. I've had good ones from M&S before. And Jones. You just have to make sure they're wide enough in the toe box so they don't pinch.

Flat Mary Janes are having a moment.

I've just bought these and I'm really pleased with them

@WhereAreWeNow Thats my concern about the pointed ones - that they'll pinch

I need them for a couple of long days next week and I'm worried about buying them and then being stuck in uncomfortable shoes for 2 days!

I don't think the MJs are for me

@Stillwearingskinnies

These look nice

are they comfortable?

I've ordered these as I need them early next week

Can't you change your shoes? I usually wear plimsolls to walk in and then change when I get to the venue.

Hotttchoc · 18/05/2024 06:48

@Redlettuce I don't want to change them. I've done that in the past but I'm trying to find shoes that are both practical / comfortable and look nice. I do think heels looks better!
