Possibly stupid question about pockets

I got this Massimo Dutti bargain at TK Maxx recently:

As you can see it has pockets. They have some stitches in them, like the stitches in the vent (which I've cut obviously), but I don't know if the pocket stitches are meant to be cut or not. Are they fake pockets that I should leave alone or are they supposed to be used?

The stitches are there to keep the jacket in shape whilst in transit from - where it was made to your wardrobe

So the pockets are supposed to be used. Sorry if I wasn't clear

If you can't see a pocket bag then try cutting 1 or 2 stitches - enough to get your finger in to see if there is a pocket there.
