Leggings with pockets

I really love the design of Sweaty Betty running/gym leggings, with the zip pocket at the back and the phone pockets at the side, but sadly the quality isn't what it used to be and the last two pairs I have bought have had the inner leg seam come apart after a couple of months (SB were great and refunded me even though I was outside the returns window). Can anyone recommend any brands that are of lasting quality and have pockets - particularly the zip one at the back. Thanks!

Bump follow.

I’ve tried loads of the ones recommended on here but never one with a zip pocket.

(Look at Peloton leggings when on sale, I like them, but no zip).

M&S Good Move have those pockets and seem good and sturdy. I don't love the fit.

I love mine from Sugar Pocket on Amazon. There’s no zip, but they’re really secure, deep pockets.

Do you know which ones - the ones I saw had the side pockets, but not the zipped back pocket - thanks!

Happy Stride do really great leggings. - High waist, zip picket at back, side pocket on the leg. They are not cheap, but definitely the best leggings I've ever had!

Our cool and colourful unisex running and fitness leggings will make you stand out from the crowd! Super functional and with all the pockets, we think you'll love them!

Lucy Locket Loves side pocket actives. Website is down at the moment though, new drop should be coming in shortly hopefully. You can have a look at their stuff on the FB page though.

A few of the Decathlon leggings have both side and back zipped pockets.

Oh - I got mine a couple of years ago so maybe they've changed them, sorry. I can't remember the name of the model I have.

I just checked FB as you suggested and people on there said the website has been down for days, and there is no-one at their office - I hope they haven't shut down!

I've got ones with a zip pocket (Gap Active and Ronhill) and ones with side pockets (Amazon, Fabletics, Gap) but I don't think I've got any with both. I prefer the side pockets because I can fit my phone and keys in and can easily get my phone out if I need to while I'm running.

CeibaTree · 14/05/2024 11:10

For anyone interested, I eventually found 3 different ones with the zip and side pockets:

North Face

Nike

New Balance

Sadly the Lucy Locket website is still down as they sounded promising! It's a real shame that Sweaty Betty leggings don't seem to last well these days, as they were the perfect leggings..

My favourite ones are actually from shein - pockets, really soft and stretchy, high waisted. So comfortable.

i can find the exact link if needed

I’ve recently bought some of the M and S Good move ones which have the zipped pocket at the back . I think they are a bit heavy for this time of year but am otherwise happy with them . T516543 is the product code for anyone else that wants the one with the zip

@CeibaTree The owner has just had a bub, so there's a bit of a hiatus at the mo. Normal service will be resumed when things have settled. It's all good, we can wait. 😊

Ahh that's good to know, I didn't realise it was a small owner-run business. I'll sign up for the email updates then - thanks for the info :)

Of course, they’re the glowmode feather fit ones!

MiddleAgedDread · 14/05/2024 15:42

Flanci leggings have a zipped pocket and phone pocket on both legs.
I really like the M&S good move ones but agree with a PP that they're quite thick for this time of year (even the cropped ones are warm).

Shufflebumnessie · 14/05/2024 16:50

I've bought a couple of pairs from Rainbows and Sprinkles. One has a thigh pocket (no zip) & one has a back pocket with a zip.
I like the fit & quality, and they're a small business.

TM1979 · 14/05/2024 16:57

I got some from Very with a side pocket. I’m not sure about the back pocket, I’ll have to check.

PoppingTomorrow · 24/05/2024 15:24

The other thing I found about the M&D Goodmove ones (the style I bought, anyway) was that they were v roomy around the tummy (and mine isn't flat) so they were handy for early-mid pregnancy.

LilyRose88 · 24/05/2024 15:39

That's a shame about the Sweaty Betty leggings as they are my go to running and workout leggings. I like the 7/8 length as I find full length leggings make me too hot. I also love the Lululemon Align running leggings but they don't have a zipped back pocket - the pocket is there but no zip. I put my keys in it when I go for a run and they have stayed safe so far. They also have a good size side pocket for your phone. They are more expensive than Sweaty Betty but they feel nicer on my legs - not so thick.

I don't like the M&S Goodmove leggings as they feel too 'nylony'. I had a few pairs and ended up giving them to the charity shop. I quite like Amazon for cheap exercise leggings but haven't found any with a zipped back pocket. They are great for gym workouts though.

Can you tell that I own many pairs of workout leggings!
