Haircut before or after getting roots done?

I have an appointment for colour and blow dry which is very late due to illness. I also need a trim but has to be separate appointment. Would you try to get that before or wait?

Definitely after otherwise you are then cutting hair you have just coloured!

I'd cut then get the colour. Then you arent colouring hair you're going to chop off

That's because you're already there in the chair and your hair is going to get washed to remove the colour anyway. OP isn't getting both done at the same time

If it’s just roots and not full head colour refresh, I’d get the colour first and then cut after.

I always get colour done, then have a cut a few weeks later as then they can remove any hair damage. I think it's kinder to the ends.
