Hairy arms, remove or leave well alone ?

I have always had fair hair on my arms which has never bothered me and was only really noticeable if I got goose bumps and it stood on end !
It has now become more noticeable and in the wrong light my arms look furry especially the bottom part where the hair is quite long.
So MN should I have the hair removed and if so how ? or will this make it worse and I would be better to leave well alone ?

I leave mine, just an hour or so in the sun over the past few days seems to have bleached mine. I’m either cold and have dark hairy arms that are covered with long sleeves or it’s hot and sunny and my arms are out and the hairs are bleached pretty quickly.
i used to be self conscious about my hairy arms but I’m not anymore.

Same. Mine are covered up and hairy in the winter. As soon as I get some sun, I get a bit of a tan and the hairs lighten and I feel less self conscious.
I say leave them be.

My arms were hairy with longish dark hair when I was young, but I never removed it. Funny when you consider everything else gets removed. Hairy armpits, eyebrows, fanny but I never touched my arm hair. I did not look like a freak and boyfriends didn't notice or comment on it.

I wish they still grew. I now have smooth hairless arms and they don't look nearly as nice as my younger arms.

I bleached mine for years as they were so bad. I was always called werewolf at school.

I'm in my 50's now and they still look grey in photos but I don't care.

Definitely keep the arms! Amputation is pretty drastic.

Leave well alone!

I spent thousands of pounds on laser hair removal in my early 20's - which didn't work at all! I have very hairy arms and hair on my back - dark in colour but fuzzy rather than thick hair. It used to really really bother me - I grew my hair long and never wore any backless clothes. Now in my late 40's it doesn't bother me anymore. I've accepted that's just the way I am and my husband doesn't care at all. Confidence in yourself is the most attractive thing.

My daughter is the same and I am trying very hard to stop her being self conscious as I know how badly it affected my wellbeing and self worth when I was young.

The issue isn't about the hair - it's about how you feel about yourself. I know it's hard but we shouldn't let the media or the social pressures make us change or feel disappointed in how we look. Work on loving yourself as you are xx

I don’t like mine being hairy. Also have light hair. Veet for sensitive skin - 10mins every 2 months or so in summer. No pain, gentle regrowth, no stubble, inexpensive. Big fan.

Mine are lasered. Did it about twenty years ago and it’s never come back. I worked at a clinic though and did it myself on my lunch breaks.

If it is fair hair, I would leave it alone.

I have very pale skin with freckles and I had dark hair on my arm and it really showed because of the contrast.

I use an electric epilator and with repeat use the hair became thinner and now it has reduced to almost nothing. I don't think it would have bothered me if it was light hair.

I don’t shave my arms, and I have quite dark hair.
