Shorts-at my wits end

In particular running shorts but also applies to daily shorts.

All of them ride up! My running shorts are the worst for it unless they are knee length which I don't like. I've tried standard cycling shorts, booty shorts and proper running shorts but they all do the same thing.

I sure the issue is my waist:hip/thigh/bum ratio but maybe not. I tried small shorts which fit especially if they stretch but I sized up to a medium which are no better if worse because they move up my waist due to being too big!

My denim shorts do it too so I end up with a massive front wedgie.

For running I prefer shorter shorts, fitted rather than loose with a pocket.

Day to day I want a pair of mid thigh denim shorts I can just throw on, I've ordered a few pairs which are more of a baggy fit but with my thighs they will probably be too tight and so they will still be the same!

Help!

Have you tried the double layer ones, M&as do some in their good move range or at least they have done in previous years.

They could be promising if my phone sits tight in the pocket, the last similar pair I tried the phone just sunk to the bottom and smashed around which wasn't comfortable.

Shame they only do black though!

My phone fits fine in the pocket and it's a samsung A53. I wish there were different colours too!

Last summer I bought Next boy shorts but make sure to try them on as different colours were different sizes - I’m sure the black ones were skintight on me. I got similar shape in Matalan and Morrisons.
Cant help with running shorts though.

Just thought I would update...

I think I've found some! The gymshark pocket shorts. I haven't run ìn them yet because I want to test them out round the house by doing more moving but I've done some squats, Lunges and walking and they seem to stay put!

I got them in pink and if they are perfect I'll get a pair in turquoise green. They have 2 pockets as well so even better.

Have you tried ones with the grip on the hem?
I usually wear the running shorts with a liner and side pockets, but if I do a spinning class anything but proper running shorts with the grippy thing will ride up.

No I didn't know there was such a thing?

I always have trouble with this with tailored or denim shorts, but not the stretchy ones I run in. And I buy the cheapest ones I can find 😂

@Pickingmyselfup , you know the grippy stuff on invisible socks, it's like that but wider. If you look at brands like Asics. NB. Nike, Ronhill etc it should be there.
