Like All Saints but better

I ventured into All Saints a year ago to finally buy myself a leather jacket and since then I have bought quite a few of their clothes. I love soe of their dresses and flowery/lacy tops. I find the fit quite flattering for a 50 year old, short size 12.

But they are so expensive and a couple of the t shirts have come in a tiny hole.

So where else is there with a similar vibe but cheaper and dare I hope, better quality?

Try Vinted for All Saints and charity shops too

I have bought a top on Vinted. But I just wondered if there are any similar alternatives.

I wouldn't say there is a particular brand that is similar to allsaints but you will find similar bits elsewhere. Try:
Mint velvet
Disturbia
The Kooples (££ though!)

I've also had a few dresses from & other stories

None of those are cheap but plenty of bargains on vinted

I hear Cloud Cuckoo Land has a sale … Grin

What's Disturbia like? I keep looking, but am very short. Love All Saints but too long.

They look really lovely Albert but I already have a leather jacket I love. More than one woudln't be justified.

Lucifer - It's the fact that Disturbia is online only that puts me off. I generally need to try on styles of dresses to make sure they suite me as lots don't. Saying that we were in a men's clothes shop and the assistant serving dh was wearing a lovely dress. She was a bit bigger than me (I'm a 12 but back then was more of a 14) and she was a bit shorter - I'd say she was about 5ft 1-2 ish and a size 14-16 and I thought how great she looked so I complimented her on her dress and asked where it was from and it was Disturbia.

I love All Saints, but not their prices, I am also early 50s and short.
Forgotten tribes might be worth a look: https://www.forgottentribes.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxeyxBhC7ARIsAC7dS38JN9YHv54o8g6vNEGFPp0RII1DVboXiPwQTiTmbOFkVqkGmnLhICEaAkknEALw_wcB

Thanks for the suggestion but nothing there is really my style.

This is my sort of thing I guess

I'm going to take the plunge on a Disturbia dress. I'm under 5 foot but can take it up.

I like your links OP. If I win the lotto I'm having all my clothes made!

igomeow · 11/05/2024 15:00

Mint Velvet have some nice tops and dresses and so do Whistles. Try Vinted for bargains and Tkmaxx do both of these brands, I also got myself an Allsaints dress in Tkmaxx last summer ago for £20!

I bought a Distrubia shirt dress. I want to like it but there are a few things wrong.

The material is very thin; it looks thicker online. Which means I'll need a slip or tights. I bought the small size, but would need to move the button on the chest slightly to give more room. And surprisingly, the front is shorter than the back. This means even on me, under 5 foot, the front is two inches above my knees. Not overly keen on that without tights. If I wore it with tights, it would mean a winter dress, but it is short-sleeved.

Debating what to do. May play around with it and a sewing machine.

Hmm, interesting
