I’m seeing ads for this foundation all over the place at the moment- promising colour matching, flawless finish etc. Has anyone used it? Was the colour match good? Would you recommend it?

I got it but it was too orange, matt and heavy for me so it went back. They were good at refunding me. I still get their concealer sent to me every few months on a subscription - it’s very good.

Thanks @SootikinSweep the fact they’re good at refunding is encouraging. Maybe I should try the concealer at least.

I received my foundation this weekend. The colour is pretty well matched, but it is so thick it just looks caked on. Nothing I did made it look better. I'm returning it.

MissMoan · 07/05/2024 22:20

I use it but found that for me, it works best if I use an oil-based moisturizer first (then it doesn't look thick or caked on). A little of the foundation goes a long way.

ditalini · 07/05/2024 22:23

I use it - the colour match was great for me and I'm very hard to match.

I agree with pp that I need to moisturise well before and use sparingly.

It doesn't feel like a particularly premium product tbh and I think the price is steep, but it's worth it to me for the colour match and will last me ages.

lineandsinker · 07/05/2024 23:00

I found it wasn’t a match - was too thick and orangey, as per PP. Refunding was nice and easy.

If you’re after something which has good colour matching, Dcypher has worked really well for me. Have had 2 bottles from them with a near perfect match to my skin.

I was very impressed by their colour match service. I did the quiz thing and they sent me a bottle which was too yellow for me, I got in touch with them and they sent a replacement in a different shade which is actually a really good match. Didn't have to return the original and they sent a voucher as an apology for getting it wrong + it came with a free eyeliner which I've quite liked too.

It is reasonably pricey for what it is, I'm not sure it's much better than foundations I've paid half the price for but it sits well on my skin, not cakey on me and it's nicely matte with decent coverage. I'll use the rest of the bottle and see how I feel about it.

Look for Wet and Wild foundation on Amazon. A fraction of the cost, Great coverage, blendable and pretty long lasting.

Thanks everyone. Looks like I should try something else. Will have a look at the two recommended on here.

I got mine and i find it just sits on top of my skin and smears, always wears off around my eyebrows and nose and just sits in my pores. It never really sets, I contacted their customer service and they advised i bought their primer and moisturised. I couldn't justify the price of the primer just to make this foundation work. Never sent it back in time so now it just sits in my drawers.

Talisin · 09/05/2024 20:48

I was impressed by the service but not particularly by the product. It isn’t awful but it certainly doesn’t bear any resemblance to the sort of coverage it shows on the ads. Also I ended up with the palest shade and while I am pale, I am certainly not right up at the end of the scale so there’s nowhere to go for anyone whiter than me.

lavenderlou · 09/05/2024 22:18

Colour - great. Texture - dreadful! It was so cakey I couldn't wear it.
