Where's Aldi Hot Cloth cleanser gone??

I've used this forever to get rid of makeup including mascara in one fell swoop - it's brilliant stuff and costs about £2.99!! Often they don't have it in my local Aldi, so I order a few online and all is well. But today... none online, no trace of it in stores. I'm on the dregs of my last tube!

So, in the event that the worst has happened and it's been discontinued... what can I use instead? I really like being able to use just one product and when I've used other face washes they've really stung my eyes. I don't want to use endless cotton wool to remove eye make up before cleansing. Any ideas?

I hope it doesn’t get discontinued, my local still has lots left (went in a few days ago - in the NW) I buy 2 at a time, love the stuff!

We've still got it in our store so hopefully it's not been discontinued as I use it too.

But, we are having issues with a squash drink I really like. I've contacted them via their Web page & they got back to me really quickly about when this drink is coming back into store - try contacting them as they are really helpful.

In the meantime, alternatives are the original product they duped it from - liz earle hot cloth cleanser (but its really pricey), or Superdrug do a vitamin E version which is much cheaper and OK to use (but I definitely prefer the aldi version).

You can get it on ebay, but will be at an inflated price!

Superdrug do two that are both very good: one in the Vitamin E range and one in the Naturally Radiant

NoNeedToArgue · 06/05/2024 09:04

Thanks for responses - I will try to contact them. Good to know they're still around somewhere...

I was hoping not to have to resort to Liz Earle so thanks for the Superdrug recommendation!

Does anyone know if Aldi hot cloth cleanser has been discontinued??

stringbean · 06/07/2024 10:16

As above, Superdrug do some great alternatives and usually cheaper if you buy two. Wouldn't recommend the Waitrose one: it's quite different and has an oily granular texture - more of a face scrub.

stringbean · 06/07/2024 10:16

Not been able to get any in my local Aldi for a while

ADHDHDHDHD · 06/07/2024 15:29

It's definitely still on sale, it's not a permanent line though. So buy double if you see it in stock.

Jewelanemone · 06/07/2024 15:40

Superfacialist do a nice reasonably priced one as well 🙂

I agree with the poster above ref Superdrug. They do an amazing Naturally Radiant hot cloth cleanser that you can easily buy online.

Thanks for this recommendation, off to Superdrug tomorrow. Is it a similar consistency to Liz Earle and the lacura cleanser?

stringbean · 10/09/2024 08:43

@Bellatrixpure - yes, the Superdrug one is v similar consistency to Liz Earle and the Aldi one. Doesn't have the same smell but still very nice to use all the same, and far cheaper!

Holidayhell22 · 10/09/2024 09:02

I tried to buy some last week and it wasn’t available in my local Aldi either.

Bundtbake · 16/09/2024 14:38

I've just ordered the Vitamin E brand from Superdrug - it's buy 1 and get a second one 1/2 price.
The Naturally Radiant brand isn't available online.

Thank you, I’ve bought a tube and I really like it. I can’t use foaming cleansers they flare up my psoriasis so this is a godsend
