I'm trying to find a pretty & fun outfit to wear to see Taylor Swift at Wembley in June. Really struggling without knowing what the weather will be on the day which is ridiculous, and obviously it can be anything from scorching, to absolutely pouring and cold.

I'm pretty much decided on jeans & trainers, for practical reasons, but would like a lovely pretty pink top. (happy with frills/sequins/fringing/tulle).

I go to a fair amount of concerts and usually wear a t shirt and jeans, but this is more of an event, and most people seem to make a real effort, which I'd like to join in with and enjoy.

I love this one and think I would wear it quite a lot for other things, but I'm not sure what to do if it pours?

Alternatively, I actually already have a very nice pink halter neck top I could wear, (but it isn't as pretty as the linked one), but again, I don't know what jacket to wear.

Really would like something a little bit OTT, not a regular denim jacket and also not £££. I like this fringe jacket but I don't think it goes with either of the pink tops.

I am totally driving myself mad, but I love an occasion to dress up, and don't seem to have them very often these days.

(In case it helps, I'm early 50s, size 10/12, not v tall).

Won’t a jacket crush the puff in the sleeves ?

liveforchocolate · 06/05/2024 08:21

Yes, that's what I'm worried about, but I don't know what to do if I get that, and then it rains/pours on the day?...or do I just risk it?

Pop one of those see-through pacamac ponchos into your handbag or pocket?

Garlicnaan · 06/05/2024 09:59

I love the pink top with the big sleeves. Personally with that, I'd get a thin long sleeve layer to wear under it if it gets cold rather than anything over. Something metallic could look cool.

I recommend a Rainkiss Poncho to stuff into your bag as well. They come in loads of cool prints and will keep you dry.

Thank you @Garlicnaan I love that idea of layering underneath rather than over! I'm going to order that now, and also a poncho like you and @Curlywurlywurly have suggested!
