Map fabric dress.

Hi, I’m looking for a dress with a map, or travel themed fabric. Not like a fancy dress costume though- I’d like something quite special. Has anyone seen anything similar? TIA.

Oh, it’s not long - though I’m sure there used to be a longer version. Raeburn things are superb quality - you might be able to find some pieces pre-owned.

I love that orange Etsy one, but I think I might look like a sack of potatoes in it.

The first one is way out of budget, but I really like it, even though it’s shorter.

The button up one isn’t silky enough. It’s for a ball.

I think the issue with some of the others is that I’m 5’3, size 12, and and slightly apple shaped. I probably should’ve mentioned that in the OP.

I’ve widened my search to postcard fabrics, or hot air balloon fabrics now.

I think I need something off the peg, rather than getting something made though.

Do be careful of the actual map you chose. Many years ago I too, went to an event wearing this sort of outfit and was badgered for a good part of the evening by a lost motorist who trying to establish the best route to Scarborough. Unfortunately a crucial part of the A170 was hidden in a seam and I suspect that he never did find his hotel.
