Botox and alcohol

I had Botox yesterday morning (can’t wait for it to kick in) and in my after care notes it said to avoid alcohol but didn’t say how long for.

I’m just about to share a bottle of wine with my hubby - this will be ok yeah? It will have been like 30 hours or so since treatment and I assume the advice is due to bruising rather than results? Anyone else know?

I've never avoided alcohol after Botox and have always been fine and it's worked really well.

Same here, I have drunk wine the same evening and it has not caused any issues.

Excellent, I shall enjoy my pink wine! 🍷 🙌 and enjoy my smooth forehead and crows feet when they come 😂 I’ve had it done once before but over a year ago and forgot how magic the stuff could be 😂

After is fine, before it is better to avoid to minimise risks of bruising. I’ve drank a couple of hours after before and no issues. Enjoy the wine!!

It's about bruising, but 24 hours without should be enough.

I've seen tv shows with women in the US having champagne and Botox and fillers parties! I rather just get it done and leave, but I always found it odd they were drinking.

I queried the no alcohol advice with my dr a while back and was told it was anecdotal, unpublished data from an aesthetics congress that grew legs. There is no quality data that supports the recommendation
