Socks that are decent quality and soft

Hi,

I'm looking for socks that are soft and dry well in the dryer? Without getting bubbly. Any ideas?

M&S not an option nor sketchers or next - on the boycott list.

Thanks

Have you tried bam? Bamboo viscose I've tumble dried them, they are still ok. Also got some soft ones from sockshop but haven't tried to tumble dry them.

Ps why are you boycotting?

sashagabadon · 03/05/2024 14:23

Uniglo men’s socks and in multiple colours. 4 for £12 I think
great socks!

@NotbloodyGivingupYet thanks! Boycotting because of their support for the ongoing genocide Israel is committing against Palestinian civilians in Gaza

Fair play, that's given me pause for thought.

I got some Muji ones recently and they're holding up well. Falke are the dog's tho and last forever

Seasalt socks might fit the bill. I got some Boden socks about 15 years ago and most of them are still going strong.

shiftingsandsoftime · 03/05/2024 16:43

Bamboo socks are very soft

ThePoshUns · 03/05/2024 16:44

Bam or Uniqlo

Calzedonia

I have green treat socks from Costco, they’re bamboo and very soft. I e been wearing them at least 2 years as I remember talking to my late-FIL about them and he died over two years ago.

I have 16 pairs and wear one daily. There’s a little piling, but only very minimal.

I tried bamboo socks and they gave me plantar fasciitis.

I have been using Gentle Grip cotton socks for about five or six years now. The older ones have faded a little but not bobbled or lost their shape. They don't leave grip marks on my skin but also don't fall down. They are always tumble dried, because hanging out a full load of socks is stupidly time consuming.

Seasalt

Shinyandnew1 · 04/05/2024 19:33

Bam or Thought are the best socks I’ve ever tried.

EmmaStone · 05/05/2024 19:57

Bam are great.
