Adidas Gazelle vs. Stan Smith sizing

I'm a Gazelle-wearer, but currently finding that all the colours I like are sold out in my size. I thought I might give the coloured Stan Smiths a try instead. Anyone who has worn both Gazelles and Stans, can you tell me if they fit the same lengthwise? Not too worried about width, it's the length I want to know about. Gazelles in a 36 are just right for me.

I have both, same size in each - obviously the toe box in the gazelles is a lot narrower, but I think that would only be an issue if you were going from Stan smiths to gazelles.

Gazelles are not all the same size. I tried some on in the Adidas shop, in a 38, and they fitted fine. They weren't the right colour though. DH ordered me some in the right colour for Xmas, and they were too small. Turns out there are 2 different kind of Gazelles which are different in size. The bigger of the 2 versions is comparable to SSs (I wear those in a 38 and they fit perfectly).

Have a quick google re Gazelle sizing, and check which ones yours are.

Not what you asked, but have you tried the notify me when it’s back in stock feature on the Adidas website? I’ve found they come back into stock all the time.

Oh... I hadn't tried the "notify me" feature... I just check every day and the small sizes never seem to come back in.

When you say different kinds of Gazelles, Trip, do you mean the indoor vs. outdoor ones? I can't see any indication otherwise of two different types.

I can't remember the name of the 2 types that were around when I got mine - the ones that fit me were Originals, and the ones that didn't were something else (helpful, I know). I just looked on the website and there seemed to be various ones - Original, Bold, 85, Indoor...

I guess my point is that SS may be the same size as Gazelles, but they may not... It was the length not the width where I noticed the difference.

I'd just order a pair of SS from somewhere with free returns and see.
