Closed shoes in bare feet

Help! For work (international school leadership role) I have to wear fairly smart closed shoes, not sandals or slingbacks. It's too hot to wear socks or tights. Is there such a thing as smartish shoes that won't rip all the skin off my heels?

Can't you get those invisble socks? Next do good ones with a rubber grip on the heel so they stay put - they are lower cut than trainer socks and don't show at all under things like loafers.

I tape up my heels with blister plasters in advance if I have to wear shoes I know will hurt.

Having said that, soft loafers/driving shoes don't rip my heels up. Buy real leather (not patent) and avoid plastic shoes - I do think you have to invest if you want comfortable shoes you can wear without socks without getting blisters.
