Looking for something to transition from boots to sandals. I am 51, only 5.1" and definitely want the height otherwise my outfits just look like crap, plus I'll have to adjust all my trousers. My style is AllSaints meets Sezane, or so I like to kid myself it is. So!! I was thinking trainers, and these are the ones I have found that provide the most height. Ideally I'd like them to be less white, and I am not even a trainer fan, but I am compromising here. Thoughts?

Is it the wedge/angle or overall height you need? Height isn’t important to me it’s the slight angle to make my calf’s look better that it important.

I actually prefer more platform, less wedge

I find converse the best for platform trainers. The chuck Taylor ones come in white and other colours. Converse Ox are also platform

Like these ones

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 03/05/2024 08:57

At least they should prevent you from being blown over in strong winds.

Leopardmatches · 03/05/2024 09:00

Are they what you want, what you really, really want?

Honestly I do need the height otherwise my outfits look like pants! Okay so the Zara ones are out, but the one's you lovely people have linked to, although much better looking, are just not high enough. What does everyone think of these as a compromise?

These are much nicer than the Zara ones. The Zara one look very plasticky.

The converse are actually the same height aa the Dune ones(5.5cm) if you look. I think the pictures are deceiving.
The Zara are 7.5cm, but ugly and very baby spice.

Russel and Bromley flat forms are gorgeous but expensive

https://www.russellandbromley.co.uk/park-lace/105266

I came to say this. Love a R&B flatform, even though my dd says they are granny shoes.

Bigredpants · 03/05/2024 17:54

How are you all finding them comfortable? I like the look but the great blocky sole doesn’t flex enough so they slip at the back or you have to walk like a robot to keep them on. I have the superga ones.

Mirabai · 03/05/2024 21:09

I don’t like any of the flat ones, I prefer this look:
