Have you dyed a pair of suede shoes?

My suede trainers are looking grubby. I stupidly didn't spray them with protector when I bought them. I'm thinking of dying them. I'm wondering what brand dye to use and how effective the result would be. Their beige and I'll be going darker - probably a tan/coffee colour.

Suede dyes pretty well IME. Leather is trickier but suede soaks up the dye well.

Yep, i’ve done this multiple times and have had good success using Angelus and Fiebings suede specific dyes. You can find both of these dyes on Amazon and they come in loads of different colours.

Have you tried one of the cleaning kits first? I've seen some miracles worked on Adidas groups I'm on. You'll need to clean them first anyway, but Angelus suede dye come up as a good one.

Thanks - I am pretty set on a different colour now though.

Apparently if you spray suede with dry hair shampoo leave it a bit then brush off with a suede brush or toothbrush it works
