Help needed! Shoes for everyday that aren’t trainers

I’ve suddenly realised that I don’t own a SINGLE pair of shoes for everyday that aren’t trainers or boots. I have heels for going out, sandals for if the sun ever shines again, but I don’t have any ‘proper’ closed toe shoes to wear if I want to dress up a little but not too much.

I’ve looked at these two but neither are quite right. Have ruled out the Sezane ones as I can’t wear slingbacks - I have really sensitive feet which blister easily. The M&S ones are too flat and give no support. To add to the mix I have really small feet - I’m somewhere between a 2 and 3 depending on the brand. Budget is open but not crazy - probably wouldn’t go over £150 unless they were really lovely shoes.

I would really appreciate any suggestions please from you stylish (and beautiful 😆) people.

Ah thank you. I’m not a big fan of mules I’m afraid - they always fall off when I’m walking 🙈

Have a look at Pavers. I bought a pair recently which are really comfy and look nice.

Thank you. I’ve had a look but Pavers are a bit ‘sensible’ for my taste, sorry 🙈. Think I’m looking for something that maybe doesn’t exist - stylish, comfortable, not too casual nor too dressy. Closed toe rather than sandals, no mules or slingbacks, not too flat or too high….

How about adding arch support insoles to the M&S ones?

I got some right in between those two from Primark in a size 3 in an off white. Not actually worn them yet though.

Next have some like the m&s ones in their comfort range, they might be better for you?

Lovetotravel123 · 02/05/2024 17:07

A nice pair of brogues from Hobbs? The ones I have are quite dainty.

Happy2ndtime · 02/09/2024 13:18

Have you looked at children's shoes in the Clark's range?

sunnshine · 02/09/2024 13:20

Could Toms work for you?

FjordFancier · 02/09/2024 13:21

Ballet flats or brogues?

WhiteRose222 · 02/09/2024 13:25

I wear Skechers for every day use. A Mary Jane style that are SOOO comfortable.

If these aren’t your thing, The Little Shoe Shop has lots of other options in the right kind of size. Their website doesn’t work well on iPhone however.

Kensington - The Little Shoe Shop

Smart but casual comfortable pump with attractive fringe décor on instep. In white, ocean blue or bubblegum pink leather.
