Is this the end of my Parlux Alyon? Overheating and red inside

My Parlux has suddenly over-heated and is flame red. Can it be repaired or should I chuck it in the bin?

Looking for a budget one to replace. Would be grateful for recommendations.

When my parlux packed in I bought a Diva Veloce on the recommendation of a hairdresser friend - it was around £40.

I had the Shark hairdryer too but went back to the Diva ☺️

Have you cleaned the filter on the back?

Yep. The inside of the barrel looks like it’s ready to explode despite cleaning the filter.

Is the diva as good as the Parlux?

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor I'd say so. I have quite thick hair and a lot of it and have been impressed.

How old is it? If can take a video then it seems there is a Repair service when out of 12m warranty so they can probably answer if it's knackered or worth sending to be fixed.

Maybe worth checking consumer rights too if it's not that long out of warranty to be considered expected lifetime of product.
